Lift your spirit by taking a walk on the Discovery Trail. We are proud to support this community driven initiative to promote active, healthy living. Our $100,000 grant for the Discovery Trail was the largest in ACF history.
The trail begins at Gardner Park and is accessible to all members of the community. When completed, the five sections will be a paved 35 km, three meter wide, all season corridor spanning through Abbotsford, connecting the east and west end of the city.
The
project is led by a core group of community leaders and is supported
by the City of Abbotsford and the Province of British Columbia. As
part of the Local Motion funding agreement, the community must match
the provincial government's contribution. Abbotsford Community
Foundation is pleased to be part of this amazing greenway project.
The Discovery Trail is a great example of the kind of projects we can be involved in. There are numerous social, environmental and economic benefits for our citizens. Abbotsford Community Foundation welcomes a trail system that connects our community, creating a greener, healthier and more vibrant place to live and play.
