$160,000 in funding available for projects that support agricultural innovation

We’re pleased to announce that applications for the 2021 Agricultural Enhancement Grants Program are now being accepted.
In 2021, the granting criteria will focus on projects that support agricultural innovation, specifically relating to:
- Product development
- Value added agriculture innovations
- Solutions for product-to-market supply chains
- Entrepreneurial farm practices to enhance market growth
- Diversification of farming operations
- Regulatory compliances
“Individual grants are available for up to $50,000 with a total of $160,000 available for granting this year”, says Marcus Janzen, Chair of our Agricultural Enhancement Grants Committee. “We’re looking for projects that will have a positive economic, social, and /or environmental outcomes as a direct result of receiving this funding”.
“We are pleased to have distributed more than $775,000 in grants to benefit agriculture in Abbotsford since 2013,” said Andrea Senft, our Board Chair. “The ACF is proud of having over 40 years of giving in Abbotsford and these grants demonstrate ACF’s ongoing commitment to inspiring, impacting, and investing in our community.”
Interested in applying? Click here to review the program guidelines, which first involves submission of a Letter of Intent (LOI). Each LOI will be reviewed and those which meet the grant criteria will be invited to submit the full application. LOIs are due by April 2, 2021.
