For the fifth year in a row, we are pleased to partner with the Vancouver Foundation and the City of Abbotsford to provide funding through the 2021 Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) Program. Back in 2020, when the pandemic first struck, the program pivoted to help fund small scale projects that safely connected communities. Now called the Responsive NSG Program for the second year in a row, the program aims to:

  1. tackle and address social isolation
  2. build community strength and resilience, and
  3. foster community creativity and well-being

From gift baskets to free fitness classes, recipients received a total of over $17,000 for their creative projects that fostered community connection while ensuring the health and well-being of all involved. There were various successful projects, but all focused on bonding with community, giving back to others, receiving care packages, or growing knowledge or abilities.
