We are pleased to share that the Abbotsford Community Foundation is participating in the 2022 Vital Signs program. Supported by Community Foundations of Canada, Vital Signs reports use community knowledge to measure the vitality of our communities. The report gathers data and sparks conversations about significant social and economic trends to tell the story of how our community is faring in key quality of life areas. This information helps community organizations like ours and local governments, organizations, citizens, and volunteers to better understand and serve the community of Abbotsford. For ACF, it helps guide our granting decisions and maximize the intended impact of grants on our community’s specific and unique needs.

“The purpose of Vital Signs is to examine and raise awareness of the strengths and challenges facing Abbotsford. Our last report was issued in 2019, and there have been tremendous changes both locally and globally since then. In our 2022 report, our data collection will provide an update on issues we covered in 2019, including housing, safety, and the economy. The 2022 report will also reflect on two other topics that have increased in relevance since 2019: community belonging & health and wellness. Understanding what’s happening at the community level helps the Abbotsford Community Foundation make effective decisions and helps our local charitable, service and government agencies do the same.” – Wendy Neufeld, ACF’s Executive Director

In addition to data collection and statistical analysis, the Vital Signs report will include input from the Abbotsford community. That’s why we have developed a short survey about local issues. The anonymous survey consists of 36 questions and takes 10 minutes to complete. After the survey closes at the end of April, results will be aggregated and shared in the upcoming Abbotsford Vital Signs report by October.
Help us out! Complete the survey today, and you can opt-in to win a $100 gift card to The Keg Steakhouse + Bar. The winner will be drawn in June and notified by email.
