We’re pleased to announce the results from our 7th annual Smart and Caring Golf Classic, held September 15th at Ledgeview Golf Club, where we raised almost $120,000 for our Smart and Caring Community Fund.

Investment income from our Smart and Caring Community Fund provides grants annually to a broad spectrum of local charities that support children and families at risk in our community.

“We are proud to have raised more than $500,000 in the last seven years with our Smart and Caring Golf Classic,” says Marcus Janzen, our Board Chair. “This year we were able to bring the event back to Ledgeview Golf Club where a sold-out group of golfers enjoyed a warm & sunny day to help raise money for the kids. The tremendous success of this year’s event highlights the generosity and kindness of our community”. Janzen added, “We could not have achieved such outstanding results without the hard work and dedication of our Golf Planning committee, led by Chair, Bryan Born and the hard-working ACF staff”.

Our Executive Director, Wendy Neufeld observed that “the 2022 Smart and Caring Golf Classic is an excellent representation of what can be achieved when we work together towards a common goal. Our donors, sponsors and participants rose to the occasion and together, we raised $120,000, which will benefit local charities. We truly give where we live”!

Our annual Smart and Caring Golf Classic is held each year in September, raising funds that are permanently added to the capital of the Smart and Caring Community Fund. To learn more about the Smart and Caring Golf Classic, click here.
