We’re so happy to announce the results from our 6th annual Smart and Caring Golf Classic, held September 16th at Chilliwack Golf Club, where we raised a net total of more than $80,000 for our Smart and Caring Community Fund. Interest income from our Smart and Caring Community Fund provides grants annually to a broad spectrum of local charities that support children and families at risk in our community.
“We are proud to have raised over $400,000 in the last six years with our Smart and Caring Golf Classic,” says Andrea Senft, our Board Chair. “The tremendous success of this year’s event highlights the generosity and kindness of our community. “We could not have achieved such outstanding results without the hard work and dedication of our Fund Development committee, led by Chair, Bryan Born and the hard-working ACF staff”.
Our Executive Director, Wendy Neufeld added, “the 2021 Smart and Caring Golf Classic is an excellent representation of what can be achieved when we work together towards a common goal. Our donors, sponsors and participants rose to the occasion and together we raised $80,000 which will benefit local charities. We truly give where we live”!
The annual Smart and Caring Golf Classic is held each year on the 3rd Thursday of September, raising funds that are permanently added to the capital of the Smart and Caring Community Fund. Save the date for next year’s event: Thursday, September 15, 2022.
