Ways to Give

All gifts, no matter the size, go to work in our community.  We appreciate your generosity! There are many ways that we can facilitate your gifting.

Donate Online Now

Complete the secure online donation form for an immediate gift by credit card.  All endowment funds are listed in a drop down list and you can choose the specific fund you wish to donate to. To complete a cash gift or a gift by cheque, please contact us or mail a postmarked cheque payable to the Abbotsford Community Foundation.

A Gift in Your Will

You can designate a gift or portion of your estate to your community foundation.  Learn more.

Appreciated Securities

Donors who gift appreciated securities can reduce capital gains to zero and still have an charitable donation receipt to offset taxes on other income.

Life Insurance Policy

You can designate the community foundation as the beneficiary of the proceeds from your life insurance and your estate will receive a tax receipt for policy value.

Gifts of Real Property

Individuals may donate their home or other real estate. You can also donate your house and receive a tax credit and be able to continue living in your house for as long as you want.


You can designate ACF as your beneficiary for your RRSP or RIFF accounts.

Wealth Replacement Policy

Donors may make a lifetime gift to the Foundation, receiving a receipt for income tax purposes now and take out an insurance policy to benefit the estate for that amount.

Transfer of a Private Foundation

A private foundation or Charitable Trust can be transferred to the Abbotsford Community Foundation while retaining its identity and purpose.

In Memoriam and Tribute Gifts

Donations can be made in memory of a loved one who has passed away or in honour of a loved one on a birthday or special occasion. Contact our office for more information at 604-850-3755.
