2020 Agricultural Enhancement Grants
The Agricultural Enhancement grants committee is pleased to announce that the 2020 grants program will open for applications on January 15, 2020.
2020 Grant Criteria
The committee has chosen to focus on innovation with a preference to supporting new technologies in agriculture that demonstrate an environmental and sustainability component.
Specifically, we invite projects that have a technology focus or projects that will help develop this technology further through research in the following areas:
- Marketing or promoting a new technology that addresses an environmental challenge to processors or producers in a specific sector of agriculture;
- Developing and testing a new user-friendly technology where the resulting research can be shared in one or more agriculture sectors and assist the industry to comply with ever changing regulatory requirements.
Grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded for up to half of a project’s cost.
Please carefully read over the 2020 Agricultural Enhancement Grants Program Guidelines, available for download here.
The first step is to complete and submit a Letter of Intent as outlined in the guidelines.
Letters of Intent (LOI) will be accepted up until end of day Friday March 20, 2020. The deadline for full applications is Friday April 10, 2020. Letters of Intent will be reviewed by the Executive Director of the Abbotsford Community Foundation and feedback will be provided as to the suitability of the proposal along with a request for clarification or additional information, if required. If the LOI is accepted, the full application will be sent for completion.
Only those applicants whose Letters of Intent are accepted will be invited to complete the full application which will be provided by Foundation staff upon acceptance of the LOI.
