LIFE Recovery Association Receives Housing Grant for the Purchase of a New Heating Unit
22 July 2021Grants & Funding, News & Announcements
Here at the Abbotsford Community Foundation, we provide housing grants every two years to help charitable organizations with projects that address homelessness within Abbotsford. This year we were pleased to announce three recipients who each received $6,000 from our 2021 Housing Grants program. These organizations include Raven’s Moon Resource Society, Salvation Army & LIFE Recovery Association.
One of these organizations, LIFE Recovery Association, received funds to purchase a much-needed heating unit. Since the installation of the unit in May, the association reports that it has played an essential role in moderating temperatures for clients. Thankfully the heating unit also acts as an air conditioner, providing much needed relief during BC’s most recent heatwave. LIFE Recovery Association emphasizes the importance of a comfortable environment for their clients to successfully complete their 90-day program.

We’re so happy we were able to provide this much needed funding so that LIFE Recovery Association can continue to support their clients in a safe and healthy environment. To learn more about our Housing Grants program, click here.
