How to Apply for a 2018 Award:
The deadline for submission to your Counsellor was 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018
To be eligible for the ACF Student Awards Program you must be a graduating student from one of our participating secondary schools – Abbotsford Senior, Abbotsford School of Integrated Arts – Sumas Mtn., Abbotsford Traditional, Bakerview Centre for Learning, Mennonite Educational Institute, Rick Hansen, Robert Bateman, W. J. Mouat and Yale. You must also be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and have a Canadian Social Insurance Number.
A complete description of each award is in the 2018 directory. Review the Directory to determine which awards (you can apply for up to 20) you would like to apply for based on your eligibility.
Then, complete the Awards Summary Checklist specific to your school. Indicate the award(s) for which you are applying. If any of these awards have special criteria make sure you meet the criteria. Click here for the City of Abbotsford Police Basketball Tournament Scholarship application.
Please complete the Student Awards Application online and then print it. Our website is optimized to be used with Google Chrome. Include all relevant information for the award(s) for which you are applying. See application package list.
In addition, all applicants must include a letter of reference from an adult (non-relative) in their application package. The student can use the Reference Letter Guide to provide information for the adult writing a reference letter for them.
After you have completed the Application Form online, PRINT THE FORM at 100% AND SIGN IT. If applicable, have your Parent/Guardian sign it. Give your complete application package to your School Counsellor, who must also sign your application. Your School Counsellor will submit your application package to the Abbotsford Community Foundation.
Award recipients will be notified at convocation in June.
Incomplete application packages will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please contact your Counsellor.
