Smart & Caring Community Grants
Our Smart & Caring grants offer up to $15,000 annually for local projects, programs, or initiatives that support children, youth, & families at risk. While not sustaining grants, this program is meant to support new, existing, or enhanced opportunities to uplift Abbotsford’s most vulnerable citizens.
The Abbotsford Community Foundation’s Smart & Caring Community Fund provides grants to charitable organizations for projects, programs, and initiatives addressing local social issues specifically related to children and families at risk within our community, including but not limited to their needs for housing, food security, poverty reduction, education, mental health, and wellness.
Our goal is to fund projects that support equity, diversity and inclusion, build resilience, and create opportunities for engagement with some of our community’s most vulnerable citizens.
Our next granting round opens September 2, 2026 with an online application. If you are a past recipient of this grant, your project evaluation/final report is due August 26, 2026 to be eligible for the next round of funding. Eligibility and application guidelines can be found below:
Since we have made some significant changes to our community granting programs, we offered 2 webinars to review the changes & allow local organizations to ask questions. The recording of the webinar is available here:
